Circuit Makati Newest Lifestyle Playground

The city's continuous emergence as the country's leading city not just in business but also in lifestyle, culture and entertainment is highlighted further by the much anticipated unveiling of Circuit Makati, one of the key pillars of the Make It Happen, Make It Makati campaign.

Urban folks were treated to a night of fashion, music, and festivities as Ayala Land, in partnership with the Philippine Racing Club and the city government of Makati, marked a new milestone with the grand launch of Circuit Makati last Jan. 15, 2013.

"Circuit Makati is Ayala Land's 21-hectare integrated, mixed-use development anchored on entertainment experiences that brings together Ayala Land's various product lines—Alveo for residential, Ayala Malls and offices, and Ayala Hotels," said Ayala Land president and chief executive officer Tony Aquino. "In five years' time, it will rise as a dynamic urban hub seamlessly complementing the distinct taste for living, leisure, and lifestyle of today's modern urbanites."

Upon full development, Circuit Makati will offer a total of 1.3 million square meters of built-up space—equivalent to the area of all the Ayala Malls nationwide put together."

"We envision Circuit Makati to further highlight Makati City's stature as the country's unrivaled capital for business and lifestyle," said Meean Dy, Vice President and Head of the Strategic Landbank Management Group of Ayala Land. "In the past, Sta. Ana has provided entertainment for generations of horse-racing aficionados. Now, Ayala Land intends to preserve the district's entertainment equity by bringing in a multi-faceted form of entertainment, one that is interactive, family-focused and world-class," she notes.

Circuit Makati looks to become the first and only large-scale urban district development in the country that will host three distinct entertainment venues aimed at attracting families.

The development will feature the Circuit Theatre, an indoor theatre that will provide a different sensory experience through state-of-the-art audio and visual entertainment.

There's also the Circuit Lane, an interactive walk that will cross the entire length of the district, highlighted by a distinct water feature flanked by an array of retail and leisure shops.

Lastly, there will be an interactive outdoor theater called the Globe-Circuit Event Grounds, which will be a venue for street plays, festivals, fashion shows, and outdoor exhibit events.

Gllobe-Circuit Event Grounds will feature a 2,000-square meter iconic tent canopy area, which can accommodate up to 1000 people, and is set to be the preferred entertainment venue in the metro, hosting numerous events and activities providing fun for all," shares Mr. Tony Aquino.

"Aside from being the venue of choice for world-class concerts and performances in the city, Circuit Makati will also host an array of interactive forms of entertainment such as fashion shows and design tours, virtual tech shows and sports clinics."

Apart from this, Circuit Makati will also feature anchor stores, unique retail concepts, and sports entertainment facilities, all while providing denizens with an extended experience of the Ayala Center leisure lifestyle.

The district will also be featuring a FIFA size football turf and a skate park to further excite sports aficionados.

Come January 2013, Alveo will be launching its residential projects at Circuit Makati, while the mall and retail developments are also expected to begin next year.

By bringing retail, office, hotel and residential developments, and reviving the beauty of the iconic Pasig River that borders the district, Circuit Makati is truly primed to be at par with the distinguished entertainment and lifestyle hubs across the globe.

That being said, Circuit Makati will truly complement the dynamic lifestyle that is already thriving at the heart of the city—one that has been synonymous with the rich legacy imprinted by Ayala Land on the city of Makati.
